Termite Attack Logan

Termite Attack in Logan City

This tree stump was noticed by one of our staff at a local shopping centre. The tree had been cut down, so he took a closer look.

He found the inside of the tree had been eaten away by termites. The termites entered from underground, up through the middle of the tree completely undetected and destroyed the structural integrity of the tree.

In a similar way, termites can access your home. If there is timber in contact with the ground and your house, termites can chew their way through the timber and enter your house. They can continue to go unnoticed and cause serious damage to your property.

This example shows why regular bi-annual or annual inspections are recommended to make sure these little masters of stealth don’t get a chance to destroy your home. It’s the best form of insurance for your home and gives you peace of mind.

What Is A Termite Inspection?

A termite inspection is a comprehensive inspection of the property, yard and home building structure.

It's important to understand the difference between a termite inspection and a termite check.

A termite inspection is a comprehensive inspection with a detailed report on the findings and treatment recommendations should termites be found.

Whereas, a termite check is simply a visual check around the home and gardens. This will not accurately identify termite activity and leaves your home at serious risk.

In addition, termite damage is not typically covered under your home buildings insurance policy.

How Often Should You Have a Termite Inspection Done?

Under Australian Standards, the minimum requirement is an annual inspection. We strongly recommend that you have an inspection done annually just like renewing your insurance policy.

What Happens If you have a Termite Attack in Logan City?

If termite activity and damage are found, your Technician will provide you with treatment options to suit your situation and budget.

We would first recommend that the existing termites be treated and stopped.

The good news is that termites (a.k.a white ants) can be stopped. A termite inspection is the first step.
